About

pure-ftpwho-gnome is a gnome version of pure-ftpwho, which in turn is a program to list the users currently logged in to a pure-ftpd ftp server. You can see some screenshots below. Download the latest version (0.2) in .tar.gz here and in .tar.bz2 here. Contact me on roel at stack dot be.

Note: there are no configure scripts in the distribution - because I don't really know how to write them. If you can tell me how to do it, or know a good place where I can learn (I tried 'Gnome & Gtk Application Development' but I didn't understand the explanation there :( ) I'd appreciate it if you would let me know.

Released version 0.2.
Changes:

  • You no longer need to run it as root, as it now executes pure-ftpwho (which comes with pure-ftpd) and parses the output. Much nicer.
  • Nicer display of some variables. Can't remember which ones.
  • Should compile for more people now :) (hopefully for everybody - am I ambitious or what?)
  • New dependency on libxml2 now, though.

Released version 0.1 It Works(tm), but that's about all there is to it.

    What it does:

  • List logged in users :)
  • You can kick users (w00t)
  • Select which info you want to see
  • What it doesn't do:

  • Save preferences

  • I'll add that when it starts annoying me enough, or when I get bored, whatever comes first.

    Now for the screenshots:

That's all folks! Oh yeah, page & program made with vim of course.

    * Nothing wrong with W2K that a total redesign and rewrite can not fix.
